BJP pcLike other parts of the country, entire Kashmir valley too has been strongly affected by Modi wave and the BJP will get record number of votes this time, contrary to claims made by diehard political big-wigs from Kashmir-centric coalition government partners and other outfits. This was claimed by BJP candidate for Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency Mushtaq Ahmed Malik while addressing media persons at Jammu on Thursday.
Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, who was in Jammu for two days, visited a number of areas/camps housing the population of Kashmir migrant voters, originally hailing from South Kashmir, to seek their votes in favour of BJP. He said that a false propaganda of possible alliance between PDP and BJP has been unleashed in these areas. As is clear from very beginning of election process that BJP is contesting on its own and is confident of forming government at the Centre and thereby do not have any kind of understanding with any political party. The NC and Congress leaders’ sole motive is to mislead not only voters from Kashmir region but also Kashmiri Pandit migrant voters putting up in different migrant camps in Jammu and elsewhere. Therefore, he pleaded before the migrant voters not to be trapped in the false propaganda of the NC-Congress leaders.
Malik further said that popularity of Modi can also be confirmed by the fact that people in Kashmir are seen raising slogans against NC-Congress candidates wherever they go for canvassing while the BJP candidates are being garlanded and given warm welcome. This indicates a change in the minds of voters from the valley, who want change in the centre controlled by UPA and want to see Narendra Modi who has throughout his election speeches shown commitment to build a strong nation without any discrimination to anyone.
Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, while making appeal to the Kashmiri migrant voters to support BJP through their postal ballot voting, said that they should not fall into the trap of NC, Congress and PDP as these parties have ruled the state but did nothing in practical to ensure dignified return of Kashmiri migrants to their native places in valley. He said that the migrant voters should question the NC-Congress candidates in particular to explain why the migrants have not been taken back to Kashmir even after 24 years of their migration.
