Kashmir Valley Observes Shut down Today Over Traders Call
Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M), JKLF, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), trade bodies and other groups have supported the strike called by traders on Saturday against burning of flag with Quranic verses in Rajouri by activists of rightwing VHP, Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal.
“The strike call given by KCCI and other trade organizations for Saturday (July 25) regarding the Rajouri incident is legitimate. People would observe strike and express complete solidarity with the people of Rajouri,” Hurriyat (M) spokesman said.
JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik also supported the shutdown call by traders on Saturday.
The Joint Association of Private Schools has also backed the shutdown call.
