Kashmir’s famous cricketer Parvez Rasool, is no more single. The marriage function of twenty eight-year-old was held fourteen days back in his native Bijbehara town.
The ceremony remained a low key affair and only relatives and close friends of Rasool’s family attended the wedding.
The wedding was held in very simple terms, a close friend of Rasool said. “Parvez wanted that his marriage should not be a lavish one,” he said.
Only four people were accompanying him when he left for his in laws, dressed in simple Kurta Pajama wit black skull cap, a relative said.
Mrs Parvez is from Heff-Shirmal, a village that falls on the Srinagar-Shopian highway, in Shopian district. She has completed her post-graduation in Arabic from the University of Kashmir, a relative said.
Parvez played international cricket when he got his maiden call-up for the national team in 2013 for the Zimbabwe tour. He became the second cricketer after Vivek Razdan from Jammu and Kashmir to get selected for the national side but did not play any game on that tour.
Finally, he got the chance to represent India against Bangladesh in June 2014 at Mirpur where he picked up two wickets for 60 in 10 overs.
He is a star in domestic cricket and has played in Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.
