Jammu and Kashmir News
Jammu, July 19 : One more day and the Kashmiri Pandits employed in Valley, who escaped the unrest and came to Jammu, demonstrated their angst outside the Relief Commissioner’s office.
The protesters have urged the Government to make arrangements for the safe return of their fellow Pandit brothers who are still stuck in Valley amid the violence. They also declared that unless any definite measures are taken regarding the safe-keeping of all the Kashmiri Pandits in valley, they will not go back.
As per the Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY), many Pandits were given employment across the Valley. And during the aftermath of the Hizbul Mujahideen Commander’s death, the Kashmiri Pandits living in valley were made target. The people repeatedly mentioned that the conditions in Kashmir are not work-friendly anymore.
Unless the circumstances cool down in the Valley, the Pandits have clearly quoted that none of them will go back.
