Kashmiri student beaten up by non kashmiri students

A kashmiri student was beaten by some of his college mates in Mohali while he was on his way to college.

The victim has been identified as Haris Shakeel Khan, resident of Kandipora (district Anantnag). Haris Shakeel is a student of DOABA group of colleges, Kharar Mohali. He was lurked by some assaulters when he left for his college.

His head and backbone got injured and he was taken to civil hospital Kharar from there he was referred to Govt. hospital Chandigarh for the further treatment.

Haris told that he was going to examination center to take the exam of environmental engineering of semester 5th. While he was on his way to examination hall, 15-20  non-kashmiri students started beating him without any reason due to which he could not appear in the examination.

Haris doubt that he was beaten up due to his kashmiri identity and He feels that Kashmiris’ are beaten up due to their identity so, J&K govt. should take the matter seriously so that no other kashmiri student has to bear this in future.
