Jammu: Kishtwar Police in collaboration with civil administration have established temporary control room fully equipped with wireless communication and other basic infrastructures at various locations on Kishtwar-Sinthan top road. The only link road which connect the Kashmir valley of with rest of the country. The temporary control rooms alongwith the sufficient deployment of manpower under the command and control of DySP DAR DPL,Kishtwar were established at Kokernag (Kashmir valley),Sinthantop,Patoto farm in order to regulate the smooth flow of traffic from Srinagar to Jammu and vise-versa and also provide the basic facilities to the flood affected people of Kashmir valley,who were travel from Kashmir to their destinations. In addition to this negotiate the regular supply of essential commodities to Kashmir valley via this road because this is the only route through which all the relief material, essential commodities, medicine etc transported to flood affected valley by road. A team of senior officer comprising of DySP and a KAS officer is camping at Kukernag alongwith manpower and vehicles for the transportation of flood affected people in co-ordination with police and civil administration of Anantnag Distirct. Till now this team have managed to rescued, transport the large number of flood affected victim who were trapped in Kashmir valley via Sinthantop. These victims were belong to Kishtwar district and other districts of Jammu province, besides these people the labour from Bihar,UP,Jaharkhand, MP etc. and some labourers from Nepal were also rescued and transported upto Udhampur Railway station. Police provide transport facilities at vialoo/Kokernag for those who are not able to pay the fair. Beside this a static camp is established at sinthan top,who are providing refreshment,security,logistic support and other relevant information to flood affected peoples. It is pertinent to mention here that due the heavy rain fall the Kishtwar-Sinthan top road were completely damaged at some places and due to hectic efforts of Kishtwar Police alongwith BRO authorities, the road were made motor able for the supply of essential services to flood affected Kashmir valley. Moreover, Kishtwar Police in its consistent efforts to rescue the stranded persons in valley and to regulate essential supplies, has established communication network on the route upto sinthan top and across in Kashmir Valley. Further, rescue camps have been established at Sinthan Top, Parna, Chingam, Chatroo, Dadepeth and Kishtwar to help those in Distress by providing transport facilities to those who are unable to manage transport, by providing meals, refreshment and medical facilities to those passing through this route. The Sinthan road has been made motorable and security is provided at each vulnerable location on highway for smooth regulation of essential supplies towards Kashmir Valley.
