SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 21: Minister for Transport Mr. Abdul Gani Kohli today reviewed the arrangements for bi-annual Durbar move in a meeting held here at Civil Secretariat.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister stressed the need for greater coordination between the concerned departments, especially Traffic Police, State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC), Beacon, National Highways Authority to ensure smooth movement of offices to the winter capital.
Mr. Kohli also directed all the concerned officers to set up control rooms along with other facilities along the Srinagar-Jammu national highway to ensure smooth movement of Durbar move convoys.
Apart from providing good condition trucks and comfortable buses, the Minister also asked the concerned to ensure that two SRTC officers will escort the convoys.
The Minister was informed that around 150 trucks and 60 buses would be used to ferry the employees and the office record.
