Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that terming Kashmiris as terrorists and stone-pelters would drive the young Kashmiris further away from the national mainstream.

Mr Abdullah, who is working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) in the state, was reacting to the reports that four Agriculture University students were detained and one of them arrested when they were travelling in Bhopal-Delhi train.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Mr Abdullah said, “Students from our premier Agriculture University are detained and one is arrested. It seems one of their fellow passengers didn’t like traveling with a group of Kashmiris”.
