All the entry and exit points of the commercial hub of Lal Chowk have been sealed by rolls of concertina wires and barricades.
At several places, government forces were blamed for not entertaining curfew passes issued by the district administration in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, curfew continued in Kashmir on the 36th consecutive day.
The joint separatist leadership has appealed to the people to march towards Lal Chowk on August 13 and 14 for a “referendum march”.
The leaders of both the factions of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq are under house arrest while Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik is lodged in central Jail Srinagar.
