Congress high command has served notice 15 days before
Srinagar: Lashing out on estranged leader of Congress Choudhary Lal Singh, the party Joint Secretary Salman Nizami Tuesday said that Singh was served fifteen days ago notice for creating differences within the ranks of the party.
Nizami while addressing the reporters said Lal Singh quit the party only after finding the safe passage in it to avoid the disciplinary action from the party High Command for his role in communal and anti people policies. “Lal Singh has become Member of Parliament twice only because of senior congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. Personally nobody knows him on ground,” he added.
He further said, “After failing to explain his position, the Congress had already fired him from the party fold which doesn’t endorse the communal political agenda. AICC General Secretary Ambika Soni had served him a show cause notice on June 25 in which he was asked to explain his position.”
“He had been asked to show reasons why he be not expelled from the basic membership of the party. he added. “With the support from Azad, Singh turned to be two times MP, but he could not secure his constituency in Assembly elections alone. His communal and anti people agenda also resulted the lost in recently parliamentary elections to Azad who otherwise is praised and respected for his pro people policies,” he said and adding Singh is the traitor and trying to be opportunist.
