He was accompanied by Joint Director Information, Jammu, Namrita Dogra, senior functionaries of Hospitality and Protocol, Education, Police, Security, R&B, PHE, PDD and other concerned departments. During his visit, the ADC took stock of the face lifting of the main venue, seating arrangements, power supply, drinking water facility, installation of PAS, barricading of venue, sanitation measures and other necessary arrangements. The ADC directed the concerned agency for adequate deployment to ensure foolproof security arrangements at the venue and the surrounding areas. The ADC was also briefed about the identified parking spots for the national function. LAWDA enforcement getting tough against illegal constructions

SRINAGAR, JULY 03: The Enforcement Wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today carried out a demolition drive in Baghwanpora, Rainawari, Miskeen bagh and Shalimar.

During the demolition drive two single storey houses, one double storey and one 3rd storey illegal constructions were demolished on the spot.

Furthermore, an anti-encroachment drive was launched against the encroachers, who had encroached green area from the Nehru Park Ghat to Nishat Ghat by way of raising temporary barbeque shelters, view cutters and open air restaurants.

These temporary shelters were removed and the items in the shape of tables, chairs, tripals etc were seized by the demolition squad of this wing.

Moreover, a spontaneous night naka drive is presently going on against the tippers for ferrying illegal construction material in which several tippers have been seized by this wing and FIR’s stand lodged.

Also the illegal building material dumped in Hotel Royal Comfort Regency Boulevard frontline was seized with the help of Departmental JCB and trippers.
