Legislators call on Governor, discuss problems faced by locals
JAMMU: In separate meetings Mr. Altaf Ahmad Wani, MLA Pahalgam; Mr. Abdul Majeed Wagay, MLA, Homeshalibugh; and Mr. Abdul Majid Padder, MLA, Noorabad; called on Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Padder apprised the Governor about problems being faced by the people in Noorabad Constituency relating to inadequate supply of ration; frequent power cuts; long pending need for installation of receiving stations at village Nagam and Khudhangipora; improvement of HT/LT lines; augmentation of water supply; restoration of river Veshio and Kandai; and development of potential tourist spots and facilities at pilgrim areas of his Constituency.
Mr.Wani apprised the Governor about the various problems faced by people on account of lack of in-adequate infrastructure relating to basic amenities; expediting pace of work for reconstructing the Pahalgam Club; re-opening of amusement park at Pahalgam and certain issues of service providers relating to the conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2015.
Mr. Wagay brought to the Governor’s notice issues relating to relief and rehabilitation of fruit growers, farmers and other flood victims in Homeshalibugh Constituency. He also apprised the Governor about issues relating to inadequate basic amenities related infrastructure in his Constituency.
The Governor urged the Legislators to continue sustained pursuit of development issues in their respective Constituencies.
