JAMMU, MARCH 22: The Chief Patron of the National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah expressed hope that both BJP and PDP would be able to form the govt which shall also break the two and a half month impasse of the long political uncertainty in the state.
In a function at MAM stadium Dr Abdullah interacted with media persons saying that the positive outcome of the high profile meeting between the Prime Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti should atleast now mean government formation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the state has been waiting for over two months for the PDP and BJP to form a government.
When a question was raised asking whether the two estranged alliance partners were actually implicitly sparring with each other Dr Abdullah said, “The question should be asked to them. What sort of boxing have they been doing I really don’t know.”
Dr. Abdullah also denied knowing about any internal split in the PDP where answering to the question on Mehbooba’s rushing to Delhi, Dr. Abdullah said, “I don’t know anything about the split.”
Maintaining his political language when Dr Abdullah was asked to comment whether the alliance partners would be able to deliver good governance Dr Abdullah said ask me the same question one year after the formation of alliance govt in the state.
