Srinagar, February 25: Srinagar Police, this morning detected explosives and averted a possible tragedy that could have happened at the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
As per a police officer, some explosive material was found lying in a dustbin near passenger shed at Khwaja Bagh in Baramulla district town, located at a distance of 55 kms away from Srinagar.
It was found by a passerby and the bomb disposal squad was immediately summoned which destroyed the explosive material without wasting anytime.
The officer said that the explosive material was planted by militants to explode the busy north Kashmir town. However, a case has been registered and hunt has been launched to nab the militants.
