Jammu, October 06: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPEF) has demanded the release of 6% DA installment in favour of employees and pensioners from the state government.
The release of 6% DA installment is due since July this year with no clarification. Abdul Majid Khan, president of the LPEF said that the soaring prices of all the essential commodities are causing huge problems to the people of working class, especially Class III and Class IV employees. He demanded that the installment be released in cash in favour of employees and pensioners.
The federation also asked for the fixation of minimum wages to Rs 350 per day and increment in Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000. Khan also said that there should be hike in the remuneration of Village Guards, Numberdars and Anganwadi workers and helpers.
