Major Arvind and 2 more officers lost their lives due to Helicopter crash, 1 injured


Army Major Arvind Bazala was killed when a cheetah helicopter crashed at Sukna Military camp in West Bengal.

The parents were shocked after hearing the news. It was a distressful moment for all the family members including the parents, wife and a younger brother.

Major Arvind Bazala was  son of TR Bhagat who is a LIC agent and Santosh Bhagat who is Assistant Manager in J&K Bank. Adding to this, he was an elder brother of Ankush Bazala who is an engineer, and an alumni of Sainik school, Nagrota.

After passing the 12th from Sainik school, he decided to go for NDA as he wanted to be a pilot. Si he joined National Defence Academy in 2005 as cadet and later passed out as Army lieutenant from IMA in 2009.

Arvind got married to Aahana Bazala in November 2015. Aahana was staying with Arvind and she had informed about the sad demise of Arvind to the family members.

Arvind was described, as a “happy go lucky” kind of person who always had smile on his face, by his neighbours and friends. They said that he was a very cool nature person with a smile always  on his face. He always stood up for the help of others.

Death of Arvind is a big loss to family. So the parents has appealed the government to replace the old choppers with the new one so that no other family has to bear such big loss.

Arvind’s friends Rahul, Himanshu and Vinesh told that Arvind was a lively person. He will always be missed by them. They have appealed the government to investigate the case properly.

Rahul told that he had talked to Arvind few days ago when he was going for his duty and told that he would talk later. He said he could never forget the incident which took away his friend.

In this incident, 2 more officers Lieutenant Colonel Rajneesh Kumar and Major Sanjeev Luthra lost their lives, and sapper Davie Yogesh got injured and is admitted in the hospital in a critical condition.

 A court inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
