After making changes in the bureaucracy of the state by transferring over two dozen senior IAS and State Civil Service Officers of the administration last week, the Governor N.N Vohra is again considering to make changes in the administrative sphere of the state.
As per reliable sources, Governor has asked for a list HOD’s along with their tenure from the General Administration Department. Besides that the department has been ordered to prepare a list of honest and sincere officers who will be given important postings.
“The State Advisory Council (SAC) headed by Governor N. N. Vohra wants to reshuffle the middle level administration in order to make it more accountable to the people.
The shuffling was first done in the state’s bureaucracy by Governor Vohra since he took control of the state after Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed’s death.
As per the sources in the Raj Bhawan, the Governor wants to change the state’s administration completely because bringing transparency in the functioning of the government is Governor’s top priority.
According to the sources, the list prepared by the General Administration Department will soon be forwarded to the Governor.
The Governor is working with a motive to place appropriate person at the appropriate place to make sure the efficient functioning of the administration. This move can ensure that the people will be benefited from the government and development takes place with a faster pace.
Acting upon the complaints received against the officials working at the lower level, Governor has given instructions to the Secretaries to ensure transparent and effective governance.
