Man kills father to secure government job

Srinagar, September 02: To secure a government under the article SRO-43, a man killed his Step father and projected the murder a militancy-related death.

As per details provided  in Early Times News, this is an incident of south Kashmir’s Shopian district where Mohammad Aslam Shah was found hanging from a tree in an orchard in Pulwama on November 16, 1998. The died was aged 30 and Bachelor. An FIR was lodged but due to lack of evidences, the case was closed.

Bashir Ahmad Shah who was a close friend of the deceased who by taking Aslam’s mother and brother into confidence showed his son Javid Ahmad Shah as the adopted son of the deceased so that he can get a govenment job under SRO -43 which states that one family member of person died of militancy will get a job in Government Sector.

As per reports Javid was 22 when Aslam died who was 30 years old. Javid who has got the job by fraudulent means is working as a Sub-Inspector in the Excise and Taxation Department.
