Management School, Kathua Campus, JU organises Recruitment Skills Workshop

Three-day Recritment Skills  workshop organised by The Management School, Kathua Campus for the MBA students of the Campus concluded today at University of Jammu.

The workshop was facilitated by Gurgaon based Mind Bridge Asia, a management Consulting firm that endeavours to enable and facilitate the progress of enterprises by bridging the performance gaps besides unleashing end-to-end business solutions for driving growth and overcoming impediments for the corporate sector. Manjot K S Gill, Director and Chief Mentor, MindBridge Asia, Gurgaon, an award winning fortune 500 consultant, specializing in customized behavioural training, was the mentor for the workshop.

The workshop was aimed at making students industry ready primarily by developing corporate friendly skills amongst the participants with a view to avail job opportunities. The workshop was focussed on enabling the students to participate effectively in Group Discussions (GD). Since GD performance decides the fate of students and in the elimination round in many companies, the students need to sharpen their skills in the same. Their was ample focus on conducting Mock Group Discussions to give the student sufficient opportunity to develop the right techniques for top performance.

Through one-on- one feedback sessions, the programme helped students to work and improve on the weak areas. The interview session was an enlightening experience for all participants because they came across the latest trends in facing interviews. They got clarity about how to handle specific questions and situations during the personal interviews. The workshop integrated the best practices in hiring manpower with the correct approach towards handling the psychology of the selection board.

Earlier Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Rector Kathua Campus, speaking on the occasion, emphasized upon the vision of empowering students to secure a placement at the end of their MBA programme.“The workshop aimed at achieving this objective”, she said.

Dr. Naresh Sharma, Mr. Pankaj Khajuria, Mr Vishal Sharma, faculty members at Kathua Campus coordinated the workshop.
