Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir which has a large potential in tapping the solar energy is mulling to establishing the first solar park in the state and the first such solar plant will be established in Samba of Jammu division.
According to Media reports, Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JKEDA) is going to establish first solar park having a capacity of 100 MW and a land measuring 5000 kanals of land has been established by JKEDA for the purpose and Rs. 600 crore will be needed for establishing this park.
The district Administration has identified land measuring 3368 kanals of land at Mohar Garh and 1586 kanal;s of land in Badala Brahmana of Samba district.
