RAJOURI: District administration Rajouri is going to take cognizance of the social networking posts by some people, especially some political activists, who are making baseless claim that student died due to medical negligence and absence of staff and doctors.
” It has already been mentioned that student of college namely Tanveer Ahmed fainted near college gate and was taken to hospital by other students but he was brought dead and students of college, who were accompanying the deceased, also recorded this statement before administration”, an officer of district administration officer said.
He added that when doctors and medical staff were preparing for post-mortem of the body, some students snatched the body and started protest over non availability of ambulance in hospital to shift the body.
” We accept that there was no ambulance available in hospital at the time but it’s not an issue as hospital authorities called an ambulance from Manjakote which was on way and could have reached the hospital till post-mortem gets completed”, officer said.
He added, however despite of this clarity of incident, some people, especially some political activists, are uploading posts on social networking sites terming absence of doctors and staff as reason of death which is baseless.
” We are identifying such people, with most of them already been identified, and cognizance under law will be initiated against them for misleading people and doing baseless propoganda ” officer added.
