MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh today met with Governor NN Vohra in the afternoon at Raj Bhawan Jammu. This meeting had risen hopes earlier in the day when the question of government formation was again in the limelight in local media and political pundits. The meeting lasted for half an hour.
While speaking to media persons, Dr. Singh said, “The main cause behind this meeting was to personally invite respected Governor for a wedding in my family.” He cleared that this meeting was not for government formation.
Answering the questions on government formation Dr. Singh said, ”The discussions for government formation are still on and will take their course. There is a group of leaders who would be more appropriate for your answers regarding government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Talking about the administration changes Dr. Singh spoke, “We had a word on the appointments and transfers of officers in the administration. The governor had visited the Capital recently with some suggestions on better governance. I met him today to further the discussions on improvement in the governance system.”
When asked that the Governor had brought up the issue of Financial Crisis that the state is grappling with at the moment, Dr. Singh said that the Centre is seriously working on resolving this issue.
He ended this conversation by extending his greetings for Maha Shivaratri that is being celebrated countrywide today.
“We are going to take ahead the wave of development spread across the nation to higher levels under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi. Jammu and Kashmir will also be a part of this development and on this note, I extend my heartiest Maha Shivratri greetings to all the citizens of the state.”
