JAMMU: People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti wants that the Bharatiya Janta Party led central government will take concrete measures for the implementation of development agenda which was agreed by both the coalition partners. This was conveyed by the PDP president to the BJP’s Ram Madhav during his visit to Srinagar on Feb, 18.
Mehbooba Mufti said that the there was no mention of the twin capital cities of the state in the list of smart cities announced by the Central Government and said that if they would have relaxed rules in announcing the smart cities for the state. She said that the Centre was kind enough in announcing the economic package of Rs. 80,000 crore but its impact is yet to be visible on ground.
She also said she need a conducive atmosphere in the state before moving any further on coalition government.
She also listed projects like Jammu Airport expansion, vacations of land adjoining Jammu Universityor Tattoo Ground, Batmaloo in Srinagar and added that the state had suffered due to the lack of proper support of Defence Ministry.
