Srinagar, March 24: The PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday will preside over the Legislative Party meeting of her party to decide “future course of action” regarding government formation in the State.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4pm, PDP sources said.
Today’s PDP Legislative Party meeting assumes significance after Mehbooba met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday and termed her meeting as “very satisfactory”.
After meeting the PM Mehbooba sought to give impression that Modi cleared her dilemma over various issues confronting J&K.
However, the criticism of the main opposition National Conference, Congress and other political parties charging PDP of “backtracking” and “misleading” people of the State, would hang on PDP’s mind before taking final call on the government formation.
“We are waiting how Mehbooba Mufti will explain her position on the issue of ‘time bound implementation of state specific CBMs’ that she was talking for the past two and a half months,” a National Conference leader told
