Srinagar, July 8: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti, has expressed deep shock and profound grief over the tragic road accident at Sinthan Top.
In a statement she expressed her sorrow over the tragic loss of precious lives and conveyed her heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, the PDP Chief, along with senior party leader, Rafi Ahmad Mir, MLA and party leader Javaid Mirchal today visited the SMHS hospital to inquire about the condition of those injured by the gas cylinder blasts in Nagbal area of Pahalgam constituency and Karnah of Kupwara district. She interacted with the victims from both the areas and inquired about the treatment being offered.
She said the victims have suffered more than 60% burn injuries and they now require expensive treatment, which they can’t afford on their own. She demanded that the authorities should provide all sorts of medical treatment to the injured free of cost. She also urged the government to provide ex-gratia relief to the next kin of those who have lost their lives in the gas cylinder blast besides full financial support for the loss of properties.
