Srinagar, January 06: “The rumours are baseless. Nothing of such measure (Mehbooba Mufti taking over as interim CM) has taken place. We expect Mufti Sahab to recover soon,” said Naeem Akhtar, State Education Minister and Government Spokesman.
This statement of Akhtar had put an end to all the rumours of People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti taking over as interim Chief Minister of the state since present CM and his father has been admitted in AIIMS following serious illness. He made the statement over phone from New Delhi.
He also said that the Budget session of the Assembly will be held as per schedule.
“Budget session of the Assembly is still away and it will be as per schedule.12 days is a long time,” Akhtar said.
He said that Director General K Rajendra has his own meeting over security and Chief Secretary B R Sharma had a meeting in the Planning Department.
Talking about Chief Minister’s health he revealed that he is showing progress and he is much better than he was two days back.
