Jammu, February 5
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti does not seem willing to end the stalemate over government formation as she took the decision to attend the Budget session which is starting from February 23. Her decision is problematic for the people who have been waiting for the formation of new government.
In the party meeting which was held yesterday at party headquarters Jammu in presence of all the party workers from Jammu province Mehbooba Mufti said that her move to attend the Budget session need not to be analysed as a blackmailing tactic and if her party will not receive any green signal on confidence-building measures from the Centre then it would not be possible to form new government, still she will take decisions which will be in favour of her party and the masses.
Mehboooba Mufti together with her brother Tassaduq Mufti addressed the party workers in Jammu and in her 22-minute speech she talked about how Mufti Sayeed was a man of principles and the way he worked for the welfare of the people. Further by giving a clear indication to BJP Mehbooba said that she will not hesitate breaking the alliance if she will not receive positive reply from the Centre on CBMs . Highlighting Sayeed’s contribution she said that in a political career of 55 years, Sayeed hardly spent 10-11 years in the office while dedicating the rest for the service of the people.
Mehbooba claims that the Sayeed was almost made to plead for the development funds thus she cannot take the same risk by forming the government until she receives a positive response from the Centre on confidence-building measures.
