Srinagar, January 28: In the next four days, Kashmir is likely to experience a wet spell, the State Meteorological Department said on Wednesday.
There is going to be widespread downpour likely to take place on Friday and a scattered rain is expected in Jammu from today.
As per the officials of MeT Department, this is going to be first major precipitation in Jammu for this season. The last two months of winters in Jammu has remain mostly dry while Kashmir was going through winter’s harshest phase.
In Jammu, rain is going to start today and the intensity will start to decrease on Saturday and it will be minimum on Sunday. The minimum Temperature recorded in Srinagar last night was 2.2 degree Celsius while Leh recorded an overnight low of minus 8.3 degree Celsius.
