SRINAGAR: Foreign birds were seen chirping and rejoicing near the Famous Dal Lake today afternoon, as sunlight made way for the valley after five days of shivering cold.
Valley sees an inflow of these tourists every winters. The migratory birds fly in highly disciplined patterns. The eldest of the flock leads the flock like an experienced pilot.
Dozens of school children visit the Hokarsar Wetland Reserve each week to see the pageant of the migratory birds as they wade and dance in the safety of their protected environment.
