SRINAGAR: Three soldiers have been killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists. On Saturday afternoon, the terrorists attacked an army convoy on National Highway in Pampore, Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir. Search is still on, the terrorists have run away and their direction is yet to be tracked. As per reports, they attacked the bus and came on motorcycles.
Speaking to the media, Inspector General of CRPF said ,”Terrorists attacked the convoy and the security forces retaliated; Public was present so couldn’t fire openly but terrorists were forced to run away.” The area has earlier too witnessed such an encounter. He also said that the exact numbers of terrorists could not be confirmed. He further stated that Lot of efforts have been put in and we are ready to face such challenges.
Suspected militants attacked an army convoy near Kadlabal area of Pampora on Srinagar Jammu Highway Saturday afternoon.
Police sources said that the militants fired incessant shots on the vehicles carrying army men.
