Militants killed in group rivalry
Srinagar, October 01: During investigation in the case of Pattan and Tanmarg killings in which bullet ridden bodies of four militants were found in the North Kashmir, police have revealed that the killings were the result of ‘group rivalry’.
As per as a news daily, two over ground workers has been arrested for questioning by DIG North Kashmir Range Garib Dass. These workers were of of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).
During investigation, it has been found that it is Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) who killed three youth namely Amir Reshi, Ashiq Hussain Wani and Naveed Ahmed. The trio wsere killed by HM because they were the part of Lashkar-e Islam (LeI) led by Qayoom Najar.
Also, to take revenge in return of the killing of one of his commandos, Qayoom Najar led LeI group shot dead one of the top ranked Hizb militant in Tangmarg area.
According to a top ranked police official, this is an open and shut case since these killings are the result of group rivalry. Now the challenge in front of police is to find the killers of innocent child Burhan and his father and police is investigating on full swing in this regard.
Also, DIG Gareeb Das has said that the two separate FIRs have been registered in these killings and police will file a charge sheet in the court after arresting the killers.
