Minor earthquake jolts Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake of slight intensity, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, was recorded in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours today.

 A bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the quake, which had its epicentre at latitude 33.9°N and longitude 75.8°E, occurred at 0111 hours at a focal depth of 5 km.
