SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir, who is Chairman of Rogi Kalyan Semiti, today, chaired meeting of the Semiti of Tangmarg and Kunzar blocks and reviewed the status of madicare facilities being provided to the people.
The Minister took stock of health infrastructure and manpower in various health centres function in the tehsil including Community Health Centre, Tangmarg, Primary Health Centres, Gulmarg, Baba Reshi, Harivatnoo and Kunzer.
The Minister directed the concerned to maintain the records of Hospital Development Fund (HDF) properly and while utilizing the said amount, main thrust should be given to keep adequate medicines including life saving drugs in various health centres so that the people may not face inconvenience.
The Minister also directed the concerned Medical Officers to take necessary steps to improve the existing medicare facilities in these health institutions. He asked them to utilize the HDF appropriately for the welfare of the patient care especially to the poor patient who are visiting the hospitals from far off areas. The Minister also directed the concerned to provide free medicines and ambulatory services to the needy patients free of cost.
The Minister directed concerned authorities to rationalize the Doctors and paramedics out of the available staff depending on the need of a particular place.
The meeting discussed various issues like strengthening primary health-care base, equipment up-gradation and manpower availability in health institutions.
Among others Chief Medical Officer, Baramulla, Block Medical Officer, Tangmarg, Block Development Officer, representatives of ZEO, CDPO, Executive Engineer PDD, PHE, Mechanical and GDA and members of Rogi Kalyan Semiti’s of Tangmarg and Kunzar attended the meeting.
