Mithlesh Wanchoo from ASCOMS bags first prize in Classical Instrumental Competition in “Display your Talent” 2014-15


Jammu: Under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2014-15, the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu organized Classical Instrumental competition at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.

The performance of Mithlesh Wanchoo from ASCOMS, on Violin bagged the first Prize and  performance of Amit Anand from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu, on Tabla, adjudged as second. The third prize was shared between Havneet Kour and Manisha Paudwal, both from Govt. College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for their performance on Sitar.

Sh. O.N. Raina, Dr. Usha Bagati, S. Balbir Singh, Sh. Samuel Masih and Ashwani Kumar Sharma, were the adjudicator for the today’s events.

Dr. V.V.V. Nagendra Rao, was the teacher incharge for the both the events and apprised by the students about Rules and Regulations.

The programme was ably compeered by Kaveri Duggal, Department of Lifelong Learning whereas Yash Pal acted as time keeper.

Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, distributed the certificates amongst the participants.

Among others, Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Dean Studetns Welfare, Dr. Abdul Rashid Manhas, Assistant Dean (SW), Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer, Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor, Teacher Incharges, Rahul Sharma, Secretary, Students Cultural Council, Aenny Mattoo, Jonit Secretary, SCC, Sangeeta, Jasneet Kaur, scholars and students were present.
