Jammu: BJP’s Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Kalakote, Abdul Gani Kohli visited several areas of constituency and met people and discussed with them the problems faced by the masses.
While thanking the people for electing him to the Assembly, Kohli said that by giving him mandate, voters will never feel dejected as BJP is committed for the development of far-flung areas of the state.
“I will work for the development of Kalakote and will try to solve the basic issues of masses who are still deprived of basic amenities. For that I need support of the people to achieve the targets“, said Kohli
Kohli visited villages Bindi Basoon, Kalakas, Ladoof, Dalogri, Chat Sagot, Baljarala, Sarono and several rural hamlets and met several delegation of people. Local residents apprised MLA about the problem of ration, erratic power supply and delay in supply of essential commodities.
He assured the public that he will serve them wholeheartedly and will do his best to deliver his services to each and every person residing in the Constituency.
In a statement, Abdul Gani Kohli said that this victory directly goes to the masses of Kalakote who believed in development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
First time in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir, a Muslim candidate has won the elections on the BJP ticket by triumphing over a Hindu contestant of the National Conference in the Kalakote Assembly seat of Rajouri district.
Abdul Gani Kohli of the BJP defeated two-time NC MLA Rashpal Singh by a margin of 6,178 votes. Kohli polled 25,225 votes compared to Rashpal Singh who got 19,047 votes.
