Model Academy accords warm farewell to class 12 students

Jammu:  The Blessings & Farwell Ceremony for class XII students of Model Academy was held in the school campus today. Dr. Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER, was the Chief guest while Dr. Renu Gupta was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Mrs Rupa Gupta, Management Representative, Mrs Ruchika Gupta, Project Director Humming Buds, Dr. Chitra Mishra, Principal, Mrs Usha Gadoo Vice Principal, Mrs Manjari Sehgal and Ms Jasleen, Academic Managers and Ms Ruchi Sharma, Quality Assurance Officer.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. The programme comprised songs, dances & sharing of experiences thoughtfully and painstakingly arranged by class XI students as they wanted to make this occasion a truly memorable one for their seniors. Then came the most awaited event of the day, crowning of ‘Mr. & Ms. Modelite’ through a well laid out personality contest. The ramp walk by the vibrant, dazzling and radiant boys and girls won the hearts of all with their grace and grit.

‘Mr. Modelite Title’ was taken by Mast. Anmol Kashyap and Asif Khan who were the joint winners while Ms. Apurva Gupta bagged the title of ‘Ms. Modelite’. ‘The student of the Year Award’ went to Ms. Apurva Gupta. All the winners in different categories were honoured with appreciation certificates in a glittering ceremony on the stage.

Dr. Arun Gupta Chairman MIER, blessed the students and advised them to be focused and to put in their best efforts to excel in the board examination. He further said that the students will now become part of 50,000 alumni of the institution and hoped that they will make their family, school and nation proud. He also exhorted the students to ensure top most result as this was the first batch of students appearing for the CBSE board examination.

Dr. Adit Gupta Joint Director, in his speech gave valuable tips to students and how to face the board exams with confidence and self assurance.

Class XII students grew sentimental and emotional as they recalled their happy memories in the school.

The principal in her speech blessed the outgoing batch and extended her good wishes to them for a bright, successful and prosperous future.

The celebration and jubilation reached its zenith with an emotional group song by students of class XI. The programme was compered by Mast. Sandesh Thakur and Ms. Muskaan Dhar. Ms.Mohsina concluded the programme with a formal Vote of Thanks.

The whole programme was coordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali and Ms. Amarjot.
