Modi reaches Pathankot to take stock of situation

Modi SharifTo take stock of the situation in the aftermath of Pathankot attack, Prime Minister Narender Modi has reached Pathankot where he is scheduled to meet top security and army officials, who are likely to brief him on the situation. The PM is most likely to address soldiers at the air base, and also hold an aerial survey of the border areas.

Security has been tightened at the airbase which witnessed a fidayeen attack a couple of days back in which 7 security personnel lost their lives despite being warned of an imminent attack by intelligence agencies. What has shocked the nation is the lack of coordination, and failure to neutralize the terrorists before they could carry out the attack.
