Modi’s Cabinet 2.0: Amit Shah gets Home, Rajnath Singh Defence: Check Full List of Portfolios


A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in along with a 57-member Council of Ministers, portfolios for ministers has been announced.

Amit Shah is India’s new home minister while Rajnath Singh will take charge of Defence as per the portfolio distribution in the Narendra Modi cabinet announced on Friday.

Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister for a second term on Thursday, helming a 58-member ministry with Amit Shah making his debut at the Centre and Jaishankar emerging as a surprise pick. Former foreign minister and party veteran Sushma Swaraj was among the outgoing ministers who found no place.
