Monsoon 2017: Jammu and Kashmir Weather Update

New Delhi, May 24: Some parts of India are waiting for monsoon while some have started receiving light showers. Meanwhile, some states like Telangana still remain under the grip of an intense heat wave. It is predicted that humidity will continue in cities like Mumbai in Maharashtra. Mumbai is expected to enjoy monsoon showers starting May 28. Kolkata may enjoy pre-Monsoon rains this weekend.

According to private weather forecaster Skymet, northeastern states, South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore and interior Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will enjoy good rains. Scattered light to moderate rains are likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

The Western Disturbance is being seen over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the past 24 hours, there has been change in climate in many parts of India. Scattered light rains were observed over East Rajasthan and adjoining North and West Madhya Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.
