Moral Education is a must in a critical society like Jammu and Kashmir

By Citizen Journalist Vishal Khajuria

A country’s future depends upon its students. It also depends upon the ethical and moral values imparted to them in their student life. Hence, it becomes the duty of teachers to develop a sense of morality in the school life of children so that they can develop moral qualities such as truthfulness, sacrifice, honesty, courtesy and tolerance, etc. in them. This will further help in the peaceful co-existence among people of different faiths and a mutual respect among them especially in a vivid society like Jammu and Kashmir. Moral is a basic sense of differentiating between right and wrong. A systematic moral education will help inculcate these virtues in students who will then stand up against the social evils in the society. It is then only that we can preserve our humanity and exist in harmony as a society especially a critical one like Jammu and Kashmir.
