Blood-soaked letter to PM seeks revenge for Uri martyrs
Ghaziabad: People from different religions came together and shed their blood on Tuesday to write a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding strict action against Pakistan.
The letter written by SBMS(Sarv Brahman Maha Sabha) came in the wake of recent Uri attack in Jammu and Kashmir which witnessed the sacrifice of 18 Indian Army soldiers. SBMS spokesperson BK Sharma spoke about the reason behind selecting this unusual method for delivering their message.
The representatives from Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities wrote the letter, demanding revenge over the attack. According to BK Sharma, the gesture signified that people belonging to all the religions had the same blood in their veins and want the same thing.
“Strict action is required to check the massacre which is being perpetrated by Pakistan,” Sharma quoted to PTI.
The 2016 Uri attack is considered as “the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades”. 18 Jawans were martyred and 19 injured in the attack on the Army camp by heavily armed militants on September 18.
