Jammu, May 15: The State BJP’s Maha Sampark Abhiyan was launched by BJP State President and Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Union MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLC Ashok Khajuria, State Vice-Presidents Col. Uttam Singh and Adv. Ramesh Arora (MLC), State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, BJP Kissan Morcha State President & Maha Sampark Abhiyan Pramukh Karan Singh, BJP State Secretary and Maha Sampark Abhiyan Seh-Pramukh Er Ghulam Ali Khatana, Jammu West MLA Sat Sharma (C.A) and BJP District Presidents Jammu Rajesh Gupta (MLA) and Subash Jandial after garlanding the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh here at Main Tawi Bridge.
Speaking on the inaugural occasion, Karan Singh said, “BJP is cadre base organization and not a family party, having internal democracy in which a simple and ground level worker could lead the party”. He disclosed that the party will approach the members who become a part of BJP through missed call and it will greet and apprised them about the policies and programme of the BJP.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, in his address said, “Under membership drive, BJP has enrolled 7 lakhs people into BJP fold and credit goes to BJP’s active cadre who have overwhelmed response to membership drive”. “Now, we have launched second phase i.e. Maha Sampark Abhiyan that is a unique activity by any political party to reach out to each and every primary member of BJP”, he said, disclosing that next phase will be Prasikshan Varg (Training programme) following by conclusion programme of organizational structure.
Countering the allegations of other political parties terming BJP anti-minority communities, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, ‘BJP had formed Government in those states where minority communities constituted majority population like in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Goa etc. He further stated that NDA led Narendra Modi Govt always worked and talked about the development of 125 crores Indians and believed in to work for all section of the society, never believed in appeasement policy.
“Even after formation of Government here in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP is no case compromised over its basic principles and ideology”, he said, adding, “We had formed Government in J&K on the agenda of development for all the three regions and all sections of the society”.
In his address, Jugal Kishore Sharma said, “It’s a matter of pride that BJP become largest political party in the world after successful conclusion of BJP membership drive”. He added that now BJP’s Maha Sampark Abhiyan has been launched in entire nation by BJP National President Amit Shah and the same will further strengthened the party at grass root level.
Later, after conclusion of the programme, different teams under Maha Sampark Abhiyaan left to different areas to greet the new entrants and welcomed them to become a member of larger political party of the world at different places comprising Dr. Jitendra Singh along with Vikram Randhawa to Gandhi Nagar, Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Rajeev Charak to Bahu Fort, Ashok Koul along with Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana to Bhour Camp, Shamsher Singh Manhas to Talab Tillo, State Vice-President & MLC Ramesh Arora to Rehari, Mahila Morcha State President & J&K Minister Priya Sethi along and MLA Sat Sharma to Janipur, Ashok Khajuria to Kaleeth Nagar, Karan Singh to Nanak Nagar, Rajesh Gupta to Qasim Nagar. BJP leader Vikram Randhawa conducted the proceeding of the programme.
