MOS Finance participates in the Vishvakarma Day Shobha yatra at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 12: Vishvakarma day was Thursday celebrated with fervour at Udhampur in premises of Vishvakarma Mandir, here. The programme was organized by the Vishvakarma Celebration Committee, Udhampur.

Minister of State for Finance & Information Technology, Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta was Chief Guest on the occasion.

The Minister, greeted people on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day and extended his best wishes to the people of the area. As a mark of reverence the day was marked not only by the engineering and architectural community but also by artisans, craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, industrial and factory workers and others.

The Minister said it is customary for craftsmen to worship their tools in Lord Vishvakarma’s name, for progress and prosperity.   Mr Gupta said that Lord Vishvakarama, the deity of all craftsmen and architects is believed to be the architect and the master of all machinery and equipments being used in the day to day works.

Mr. Gupta complimented the organizing committee and also extended his full support and assurance to address their genuine demands in the future.

Later, Minister also participated in the Shobha Yatra which started from MH Chowk, Udhampur.

Among others, President Vishvakarma Celebration Committee, prominent citizens and large number of people were also present on the occasion.
