Mother-Daughter Died, Son Scorched After Fire Broke out in House

A house suddenly caught fire late on Wednesday night in Moda Bachhai area of ​​Tehsil Surankot of border district Poonch. A fifty-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter, and an eight-year-old boy were injured in the fire. Due to severe burns, the mother and daughter died on the spot. With the help of local people, the injured boy has been admitted to the sub-district hospital, Surankot, where he is undergoing treatment. After the post-mortem, the police handed over both the bodies to their relatives.

According to the information, the flames suddenly started rising from the house of Muzaffar Hussain Shah son Sadiq Hussain Shah at Qazi Katha of Moda Bachhai in Surankot at around 3.30 pm on Wednesday. His neighbour, seeing flames rising from the house, informed the villagers and the police. On hearing the news of the fire, the village people rushed to the spot and immediately started trying to douse the fire. Meanwhile, police personnel and the fire brigade also reached the site. The fire department brought the fire under control after a lot of effort, but it was too late by then.
