Mudgal highlights role of youth in eradicating pollution

BARAMULLA JUNE 04: Government Girls Higher Secondary Baramulla today observed World Environment Day with District Development Commissioner Yasha Mudgal as the chief guest. The function was also attended by CMO Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, CEO, and Principal besides a large number of students.
On this occasion students delivered speeches on “Fight against illegal trade in wild life” and highlighted the interdicted of pollution in sustainable development.
The programme was held to spread awareness regarding pollution control and conservation of our Natural Environment, among participants and general public at large.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the role of students in preserving natural environment and urged them to avoids the use of polythene. She also urged them to plant more and more trees so as keep our ecology balanced.
The DDC stressed on combined and planned approach in view of environment protection and fight against illegal trade in wild life. She also visited various laboratory blocks of the institute and assured the school authority that smart classes will be ill effects so that the institute gets equipped on modern lines.
Earlier, various animated songs and scripts were presented depicting the importance of natural resources and the role of youth in combating the menance of pollution.
