Mufti thanks Modi for massive developmental package  

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 07: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Saturday thanked the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for announcing a massive developmental package of Rs.80,000 crore for J&K during his huge public meeting here today.

He also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for reposing faith in his leadership to put J&K firmly on the path of development. “I am grateful to Narendra Modi for announcing the unprecedented development package for J&K, which I am sure, will go a long way in strengthening the core sectors of our economy,” he added.

Addressing a public rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, the Prime Minister promised people of the state a new and resurgent J&K and said the package was just a beginning of realizing that dream. He also reposed complete trust in the leadership of the Chief Minister.

Mufti Sayeed hailed the statement of Prime Minister about India being incomplete without Kashmiriyat. He also praised the Prime Minister for taking the Vajpayee route in strengthening the pillars of development in J&K by focusing on Kashmiriyat, Jamhooriyat andInsaaniyat.

The Prime Minister, in his speech had said Delhi’s heart will continue to beat for J&K and money will never be a problem to help lay edifice of a new and modern state. “It is not a full stop. It is rather a beginning. Not only coffers, but our hearts also beat for you,” the Prime Minister told the huge gathering during his address.
