Baig tenders resignation. Are the differences in PDP coming out in open
The government is just two days old and there are already rifts showing in the the PDP. Member of Parliament from PDP, Muzaffar Baig has reportedly tendered his resignation to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Tuesday.
The word across is that Baig has not been in the favour of the way the alliance government has started its journey. He has reportedly said yesterday that the beginning of alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and PDP was not on a good note.
“It is not a promising beginning but I am still hopeful,” he was quoted by PTI.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, had stirred the hornet’s nest after he gave credit to Pakistan, Hurriyat and militant outfits for peaceful polls in the state which was rebutted by BJP in the Lok Sabha yesterday by Rajnath Singh who expressed disassociation from the Chief Minister’s comments.
Baig added, “In the last 24 hours, some statements on both sides (PDP-BJP) have created confusion”.
