RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 02: Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar today conducted surprise inspection in Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rajouri and Government PG College Rajouri.
Akhtar expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of the GGHSS Rajouri after the teachers at the school failed to submit the requisite teaching plan. The Minister also noted with dismay the negligent attitude of the teachers who had not checked the notebooks of the students for several months.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Haseeb Mughal also accompanied the Minister.
The Minister directed Chief Education Officer Rajouri to ensure that the teaching staff prepare and update their teaching plan regularly. He also took stock of the class work and the infrastructural facilities at the school.
The Minister also directed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to probe the complaints of illegal encroachment of school land by some people living nearby and also to provide an alternate gate for entry and exit in the school.
The Education Minister also visited Government PG College Rajouri where he interacted with the students who highlighted various problems being faced by them and demanded immediate repair of road leading from district hospital to college premises, provision of sports and transportation facility for the students.
After giving a patient hearing to the students, the Minister assured them that their demands will be taken up for redress on priority.
