NC and Congress disrupt the question hour in JK Assembly
Jammu, 6 April 15 In what has become practice in the Assembly house, the Question hour is disrupted by both the Congress and the NC leaders everyday. The duo have protested against multiple issues in the last few days that are related to the welfare of the state and as a responsible opposition are doing a good job.
Leaders from both National Conference and Congress did not allow the Assembly Question hour today where the leaders protested the slow pace of work in clearance of the highways due to which Kashmir Valley and Chenab Valley remained largely cut off. The MLAs belonging to opposition also vehemently voiced objections to no work in place for the Jammu and Doda-Kishtwar highway which is cut off.
Congress MLA from Inderwal, GM Saroori along with other opposition members raised banners which read SAVE CHENAB VALLEY. Saroori drew attention to the Jammu-Doda highway which was cut-off due to landslides caused by the recent incessant rains.
Saroori protested saying, “The heavy rainfalls in the last few days not only caused destruction in Kashmir Valley but also in Chenab Valley. There is discrimination being faced by all the villages in Chenab Valley where the government has completely neglected us. Due to widespread rains, the Chenab Valley has not received ration for 2 months.”
Saroori added, “There has been monumental loss to the crops and we demand that the PDP-BJP government compensate the farmers many of of whom have even lost their houses in the recent rains.”
