NC castigates govt over failure to airlift injured of Poonch acciden

Poonch June 7: National Conference unit of Poonch here has castigated state government and its authorities for their failure to arrange a chopper and to airlift the seriously injured four passengers of Poonch Tata Sumo accident which has claimed four lives.

Talking to media person Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that state government is playing with the lives of people of Jammu and Kashmir and its careless approach has put lives of four person in grave danger.

He claimed that in the Tata Sumo accident that took place in Khanetar village today evening, in which three person died on spot while three succumbed to injuries in hospital, six person got injured out of which four were referred to GMC&H Jammu.

” Due to lack of coordination between different government quarters and carelessness of government, four seriously injured were kept on Poonch Airfield as authorities announced that a chopper is coming to airlift them ” Jan said adding that for three hours together no chopper reached as government failed to arrange the same  after which all the four injured were referred to higher hospital via road.


” Same incidents took place many a times during the rule of previous government but than Chief Minister Omar Abdullah personally supervised all the air lifting operations and ensured timely arrangements of chopper but this government has failed on this front also ” Jan said.

He further demanded that the CT scan machine of district hospital Poonch should be made functional at the earliest so that head injuries of people at the time of such incidents are diagnosed timely.
